Free level 115 runescape account (Members)
By Steve on Mar 28, 2007 | In Security | 30 feedbacks »
I have been looking around the internet for sites that offer free Runescape accounts and hacks and cheats for Runescape, Don't worry I have taken precautions I have the latest Virus Scanner 2 firewalls hardware and software, anti spyware and malware software and on a dedicated computer using Firefox web browser.
I was surprised how many peoples dads work for Jagex, on one Forum 4 out of 5 peoples dads worked for Jagex surprisingly no mums always dads, oh and the odd cousin who was Zezima, yes Zezima has hundreds of cousins all around the world.
I was also surprised that the account reset facility was always a free email account AOL, Yahoo, Gmail, Hotmail etc.
Whats even more strange is that all these Jagex relations were always calling each other scammers and that they are the only official one.
So there are hundreds of genuine relatives of disloyal Jagex employees all offering to give you free accounts, upgrade your account to members or give you free full dragon and millions of GP for no gain for themselves.
Either there are a lot of nice people out there that want to go around helping random strangers or a lot of people who want to steal the account of greedy and impatient Runescape players.
Now think about it which do you believe, do you think sending your account username and password to a free email address surrounded by some other random characters will get you into someone else's account or do you think it will send your details to a 14 year old kid in Canada trying to steal your account, well the only way you will find out is when you can not log into your account.
Never send your password or username to any email address even if it looks genuine, Jagex will NEVER I repeat NEVER ask for or need your password to access your account.
It is funny to read these forums and see all the scammers trying to convince each other that they are genuine and the others are not, all using bad grammer and poor grasp of writing skills, but be warned even accessing these sites can compromise your account, I used a totally separate computer and took all the precautions listed above but was still careful before clicking any links.
Runescape is fun and to lose all your hard work because of greed and wanting a faster level will spoil your fun, keep your password safe and don't even tell your best friend, best friends come and go.
Additional notes to initial post to avoid confusion.
This post was intended to highlight the dangers of trying to get something on Runescape for nothing, I am not offering a free account but bringing to your attention the amount of people and the lengths people go to steal your accounts, the amount of people who responded to this shows me how desperate people are to get ahead quickly and all forms of common sense go out the window, there is NO WAY to get anything for nothing on Runescape, DO NOT TRY IT you will be very disappointed and any work you may have put into your account will be lost.
Silly rumours on Runescape
By Steve on Mar 26, 2007 | In Pass Times | 3 feedbacks »
There are lots of strange rumours traveling around Runescape I will add the really silly untrue ones here, please add any more as comments and I will add them to the list.
In Pest Control using a special on the portal produces spinners.
Totally untrue this was started when PC first came out and a few nubs still quote it.
Using Magic dart is not effected by mage bonus.
Again totally untrue but surprisingly believed by some high level players, I need 2 extra p pots just for wearing black dragon hide, I saw a chap in full rune unable to hit and constantly splashing.
Dragon Plate will never be released.
Although this can not be confirmed yet but Jagex will never turn down the option of a very obvious succession to their armour updates. after all the dragon hatchet was never going to be released either.
How to do an efficient farming run
By Steve on Mar 22, 2007 | In Farming | Send feedback »
This is a route I devised when doing some intensive farming it gets lots of xp for different skills on the way.
I start of tele to Ardougne, I steal a gem from the stall and a silver ore (Thieving XP), wander up to the north bank and cut and bank my gem (Crafting xp) and ore (Smelting and crafting xp), I grab my seeds for the whole trip, 3 herbs, 18 veggy seeds and 3 limps (I dont use port phasmatys), I wander to the master farmer and steal seeds (Theiving xp) off of him until about 1/4 health then drop the carp seeds and wander around to the farming patch, I pick the crops (Farming xp) eating the vegetables to bring my health back up, plant all 4 patches (farming xp) I always use super compost and never water any of my plants and they rarely die.
I then tele to camalot (mage xp) wander to catherby killing 2 unicorns on the way (combat xp), get to the bank, bank my herbs and limps grind my horn and make my super anti pots (Herblore xp), I pop over to the trading post ships and buy all the seaweed and soda ash (Crafting xp later) and pinapples for supercompost (Farming xp), go to the allotment and pick crops (farming xp) and replant, bank herbs limps and any veggies i need for tree farmer payment, grab house tele runes wander up to my fruit tree and pick my coconuts (Papaya before I could do coconuts).
Tele to house, pop outside pick 4 white berries from my bush, go back in in building mode so no doors to open pop upstairs use my wall mounted glory to tele to draynor village, bank my berries and coconuts, pick pocket farmer drop all carp seeds proceed to allotment south of fally and pick and plant crops.
I then go and train another skill then repeat this process again.
A few tips for this process, don't pay farmers for looking after your crops unless trees just wastes time, don't water your plants not needed and a waste of time.
Plant watermelons in the plot south of fally so you have supercompost material close at hand, this plot because it is (Or appears to me to be) furthest from the bank.
If you grow potatoes or sweetcorn cook before dropping or selling to the shop, good cooking xp.
Grow sweetcorn at catherby as this closest to a cooking range and easy to get rid of in the shop.

I had this on another blog so its a bit dated but I thought it may helps some of you.
I decided I wanted to go for the fire cape, so last night I thought I would go down and do a few levels just to get the hang of things and see what I might need in a full blown attack.
I have given a run down on how I did it just in case any of you are considering doing it yourself, people have different ways of doing things and as many opinions as possible will help you work out the best way for you.
I had Veracs helm and skirt, kharils body, glory ammy, and ring of recoil.
I am not sure why I wore this setup but it was listed in a guide.
I took 2 full crystal bows 20 super restore pots and 7 sharks (I cant make or get saradomin Brew).
I drank a superset before entering, a bit of a waste of time but made me feel better and that super defence tastes sooooo good .
I read a few guides and was fairly prepared but you know how it is it is easy to read but a totally different matter when you get down to it.
I went in and stood at the safe spot by the exit, over came the bat things and I finished them off before they got to me with 1 or 2 shots.
For the next lot of levels I stood in the safe spot again and waited a few seconds and wandered over to Italy, I looked out for monster coming from the right, not sure if it was NSEW but opposite the Italy boot, if there was I would finish them off quickly or take defensive maneuvers, the rest are then just waiting behind Italy you can move to the edge and shoot from there taking out 1 at a time
The worst monsters are the level 90's as they range and can get a shot in before you put protect from range on, luckily you do get a sound warning that they are approaching.
It is generally all the same until after you kill the big black wombles, again I ran back to the safe spot and waited a few seconds, wander up to Italy as soon as I hear a different noise put protect mage on as there would be a big orange frog maging me (after I get the first frog I put protect mage on before approaching Italy), you can range this from anywhere but just keep the other monsters behind Italy, if you cant see the frog and keep the others behind Italy run back to the safe spot and he will come closer go back to Italy and kill him, if he is stuck behind Italy and you have the level 90's ranging you you have no protect from range so keep protect mage on (you wont last long if you don't have it on) and range the 90's first, they can hit consistent 10's on a bad day.
I had only set out to test the waters and see what I needed for a full run but it was so easy I decided to go for it there and then, I started at 10pm I would have started a lot earlier if I knew I was going for a full run so I was pretty tired.
I had gone through all the stages and had fought the orange frogs and all the lower level monsters in 1 wave so I could see the big fight coming soon, I was franticly reading the guides to know what to do when I got to Jad and how to spot his attack styles, I hadn't planned this as I was not expecting to get this far.
As I got to what I thought must be the last wave (I kept thinking that I was on the last wave as I got all monsters in 1 wave but some how kept getting more waves)
I was at a stage when I was attacking a frog who was mageing me and had a level 90 ranging me, I was attacking the frog and tried to change to the level 90 and I couldnt move, then all of a sudden "lost connection" can you imagine my words, then all of a sudden back to the login screen, I was so gutted, I logged back in, it said I was already logged in and should try again in 60 seconds, I kept trying and got back in I was outside the cave and had 3.6k tokul in my inventory.
I suppose I was quite lucky and was killed after I was logged out, imagine if I was in the safe spot and just timed out, I would have got no Tukul.
What a way to finish, If I had been killed by getting my prayer wrong on jad or any of the other monster I could accept that but to lose connection at the last stages, I could see no reason for loss of connection I have a fast broadband connection.
I was left with a 4/10 and a 9/10 crystal bow, 3 sharks and about 5 super restore pots, now I need to take the 4/10 bow down to a seed to start again.
I was surprised how easy all of the monsters were to kill, I know I have a fairly high range level but they were so much easier than the black dragons to kill, even on the big monsters I was hitting regular 19's.
Thank god I didn't buy guthens, It might have been quicker but I was perfectly happy with my first attempt and a lot cheaper I started at 10pm and finished at just after 12, now I know what to expect it will be a lot quicker.
Due to the fact that so many people have the fire cape I am in no hurry to get one, I will try it one day but cant be bothered yet.
Wow what an anchor
By Steve on Mar 21, 2007 | In Melee | 1 feedback »
The Great Brain Robbery was a good quest I enjoyed it a lot, I was a bit disappointed by the anchor that is given as a prize, the best thing about the Barrelchest Anchor was the fact that it made you walk like you needed the toilet desperately, I tried and could not hit over 18 with it and it ended up buried in the depths of my bank.
After the initial fun with Jagex changing the stats and prices on a regular basis I thought I would try it again, I had Jungle Horrors for slayer so thought I would give it a try.
Off I went to Mos Le'Harmless super potted and started to attack them, 18 great 18 again 0 omg this is carp, 42 wtf 38, I was after the initial few kills amazed at the power of this anchor, I could hit a 42 with a weapon that cost 50k to have repaired, I switched back to the whip and rune defender and my max was 38 Ok the whip was a bit quicker but I now understand why the anchor is used for pking, it owns.
I am now trying to find ways to justify using my whip for anything but dragons and skeletal wyverns, I can see this being the main reason for the fall in the cost of whips, perhaps I ought to sell my 5 whips before the price plummets.
The Barrelchest anchor is designed to be used in defensive mode as the crush bonus is massive, I am 99 strength and attack so its ideal for me, aww I love my whip, I will need the test the Barrelchest a bit more before archiving my faithful whips.
Barrows Armour when and where to use
By Steve on Mar 20, 2007 | In Combat, Mini games | Send feedback »
Barrows armour is very good armour found as a common drop from the Barrows mini game chest, many people say it is a rare drop, read my Barrows guides and see how I change it from being a rare drop to a common drop.
The Armour has individual uses and I will list the main ones here, they all degrade and need repairing after about 15 hours of constant use, I repair it in my house I take 300k and have plenty of change when it is all repaired, if you have a NPC repair it for you it can work out rather expensive 330K I think.
I have all sets of Barrows armour and will get some screenies soon.
I will start with the cheapest, Karil, karil uses a 2 handed crossbow, in the barrow, fighting him he hits fast and hard and his shots can reduce your agility, losing agility is no big deal unless you use the shortcut to get to the temple on the Salve to pray between runs.
I only use his armour when fighting mage based monsters, Bloodvelds, Infernal mages, Aberrant Specters etc. I do not wear the coif as the Mind helmet has better mage defence, his crossbow has little use because bolt racks are dear and can only be won in barrows bought from an npc in the port Phasmytus (sp) or players, it is a popular weapon for the fight caves mini game.
Ahrims I never use the staff as the special reduces your opponents strength, when using mage I don't get hit anyway so its pretty pointless. I wear it when doing slayer tasks that require mage to attack, metal dragons mainly, it is also the unofficial uniform for ancient mages.
Torag, Torags armour has the best defence of all in Runescape, the helmet is the most important part of the set as this has the greatest defence bonus compared to other melee armour, I never use the hammers they hit fairly hard but they are very slow and are 2 handed so you can not wear a shield, the special reduces run energy so may be useful in the wildy but not recommended as an attack means, full Torag with whip and rune defender is a mean setup.
Veracs, Veracs has become the main method of attacking the Kalphite Queen, this is because when the special happens it can ignore prayer and armour, the Kalphite Queen uses prayer so avoiding her prayer can deal a great deal of damage, Veracs is good for high defence monsters, I use it on the mole in Fally park quite successfully it is also very good for dueling in the duel arena, it can hit as if they have no armour on and is my main fear at the arena.
Dharoks, this can hit well hard, the melee defence is good and I have hit 65 unpotted at the portals in Pest Control, as your hp goes down your ability to hit hard increases, to get the most out of the special you are sitting on a knife edge and a few seconds lag can cause the loss of your helmet, it is rare to hit with the great axe but when you do it can be devastating, for xp and general fighting it is luck if you hit hard and not recommended, at duel arena Veracs will win 9 times out of 10 over great axe because it hits hard so rarely, so if you want to see big hits use great axe, if you want good xp use a whip.
Guthans, Guthans is great for uninterrupted training, the spear can hit as hard as a d scimmy but it is slow and 2 handed so you cant have a defender or a shield, the beauty of Guthans is its special takes the damage inflicted on your opponent and transfers it to you, I have hit 27 with it and healed at the same time giving the hp of 27 to me, this is more than any food available. its special like all barrows is intermittent and can be very frustrating waiting for it to heal you as your health keeps going down, some monsters you will need to take extra food just in case. its main use is for training slayer in hard to get places, you do not need to keep going to the bank for food.
Summary
Torags for good defence
Karils for good mage defence
Ahrims for using ancients, cosmetic no real use
Dharoks for high hits
Guthans for Prolonged training
Veracs for dueling or kalphite queen
Detailed description how to get to Abyssal Demons.
By Steve on Mar 20, 2007 | In Slayer Monsters | Send feedback »
This is a question many people ask, it is fairly easy to get there but not without its dangers, this was originally added by myself as a comment to another post but due to its popularity I have added it as a post.
There are 2 places the Abyssal Demons live, the first is the slayer tower in Canafis.
Enter Canafis area via the temple on the Salve (East of Varrock), this is the temple you killed the big dog for the Priest in Peril quest, if you haven't killed the dog you cant get to Canafis or the Slayer Tower.
Assuming you have done the quest when you leave the lower level of the temple take the path north, this will take you to the slayer tower, the first monster you will come across are the crawling hands (there are only 2 aggressive monsters in the slayer tower and I will make you aware of these as you go along).
There is an agility shortcut in the second room if you have the required level you can climb up there, (Beware that brings you out with the aberrant specters these are aggressive and dangerous), if you haven't got the required agility level continue to walk around the rooms past the Banshee's and up the stairs.
The next floor you walk around and when you enter the room with the Infernal Mages there is another shortcut, if you can use this one do so as the other options of using the stairs are dangerous.
If you don't have the agility level walk around the rooms and past the Bloodvelds, in the big Bloodveld room there is a door, this door is to the Aberrant Specters, Be carefully these are very dangerous, if you can not wear a nosepeg you stand a very good chance of dying, a tip is to use a busy world so all the specters are being attacked if they hit you they use mage so they can get you from a distance and can attack you for a long way.
Just inside the door is the shortcut from the crawling hands, if you use the shortcut it is the same as using the door you need to run west then south and enter the stairs as quickly as possible, taking a hit from the specters without a nose peg will effect your stats severely, if you use the agility shortcut to get up and you take a hit you will need to take the stairs back down.
The spectres are the worst once you have got past them and up to the last floor the worst is over, the next room has Gargoyles in these are aggressive and will hit you melee style so wear protect from meele if you have it or just run like hell to the door at the north side enter the door and you are now safe.
The other side of the door is the Nechryael and the top of the agility shortcut from the infernal mages, just walk around the rooms and you will be with the Abyssal Demons.
Watch the players fighting and tell them how great they are if you wish but don't ask for free whips, it has taken a lot of work for them to get that level and noobs asking for a free whip is a pain after a while.
This is however a good way for the lower levels to get some extra cash, a lot of things you may value are left by the higher level players feel free to pick them up and sell if you wish.
Another level 99 skill another stat I no longer need to train
By Steve on Mar 19, 2007 | In Melee, The News as it happens | 4 feedbacks »
I got 98 strength the other day, 15 March 2007.

Thats not bad quite a good level to get, nope its not I want more, so I set out on a frenzy to get 99! I went off to pest control with the intentions of getting 99, I had ancients to help win the rounds by Barraging the spinners that appeared and the Blue portal if things got close (The blue portal is the only mage weak portal).
I had about 2.8k bloods and the required water and death runes for Ice Barrage and off I trot, the problem with Pest control is if people lose a game it becomes a carp world and everyone leaves this sometimes makes it a carp world and the rest leave, all worlds could be good if people didn't leave when they lose a game, low level players make it easier for the high level players by reducing the defence of the portals and the number of monsters coming through the portal, so don't moan at them thank them for playing.
My message that I am continuing to say is don't kill the f'in spinners, I would love to kill the muppets who keep saying kill the spinners a lot of time is spent killing spinners that are attacking me, the aim of the game is to kill the portals not the spinners, the spinners will not kill me Im a big boy and can withstand many spinners on me, unless you need zeal kill the portals, I repeat DO NOT KILL THE SPINNERS just attack them and get their attention you do not need to kill them, repeat after me DO NOT KILL THE SPINNERS.
Anyway I spent most of Saturday there getting good world and bad world swapping worlds for better ones, this was quite intensive training but I was there most of the day and got a lot of xp about 600k and 65 points before I retired to bed.
Sunday morning I got up and started again, I was getting good and bad world and got my first 100 tickets and a few more before I needed to go out about 2 o'clock ish I got back later and started again, finding a world that could win was a nightmare and very frustrating, losing games for some stupid people doing things like being stood next to spinners and not attacking them, yes I know "don't kill the spinners" but attack them and continue on the portal.
I had heard that world 140 was a good PC world so I thought I would give it a try, so I logged out and logged into the German speaking world and woot what a lot of fun to be had by all, no one there speaks German which was a bit of a shock, I did find 2 Germans on it but they spoke English better than I do.
After the initial fun of using the German monster names I got down to some serious training, my bloods had run out so ancients were out of the question.
Well it was great, for some reason when we went off the lander I thought of the Normandy landings I don't know why I know very little about the Normandy landings but we were winning every game very quickly and in no time I had 100 points and traded them in, I used the Zybez Pest Control Calculator to find how many for 99 strength and it said 37, so I stayed up to get 37, I knew I wouldn't need that many but I got them anyway, I was training strength and getting xp that way so I would have some points left over.
I got my 37 points in German world and came back to an English speaking world to exchange my points and wooot woooooooot 99 strength.

I was knackered and dead chuffed I got form 98 to 99 strength in 2 days at pest control, I got my cape, the emote is a lot better than the attack one but the attack cape looks nicer.
I also went up a combat level to 121, I have gained a lot of mage xp and my hp is approaching 99 now as well.

This software is great for recording your Runescape Escapades, its FREE but the quality is a little too high to be able to make long videos, you can purchase the full version and have more control to minimise file size, the free version does all I need.
Training hitpoints
By Steve on Mar 15, 2007 | In Mage, Mini games, Hitpoints | 2 feedbacks »
This is a tricky skill to raise in the fact that there are few ways to train it independently of your other skills.
There are 2 ways to train hit points easily both are using the Pest Control Minigame, at any level over 65 combat you can kill monsters and use the points given for training hp, in my eyes this is a waste of xp.
If you do your training at pest control and use your points for hp your hp will go up, that is fine having good hp will keep you alive longer but that is it, if you train another combat stat, attack you can hit more often so you get more xp for combat and hp, strength you hit harder and get more xp for combat and hp, defence you can stay fighting for longer you get more xp for combat and hp, Mage and Range are the same.
When you get 99 hp and have 90 attack, strength, defence, ramge and mage all your extra hp xp is going to waste as you are getting no benefit.
Now the bestest way to get HP xp that is a win win situation you need to be 94 mage, soz its only for the big boys, go to pest control and attack the portals using any means you want I use scimmy at the mo because im training strength, when spinners appear you normally have a pile of monsters under them use Ice Barrage on the spinner, you will get xp for all of the monsters in a large area, I often get xp in excess of 2k per game.
This in my eyes is the only way I can justify the cost of the runes for Ice Barrage, it costs a lot of money but the xp at Pest Control is so great it is well worth it.
When you Barrage it is very loud very cold and causes lag for many players, the comments of WOW or cool ancients or omg wat was that is really funny, players keep saying who's doing the ancients I just keep quiet and leave them guessing, I did answer once when someone asked me what spell it was I told him it was wind wave.
I wear dragon hide when doing PC even when maging, I can still hit multiple 30's with it on and you need some protection from the monsters, when my health gets low I switch to full Dharoks and have hit a max of 61 no pots or prayer so far which gets a few comments as well.
The Black Mask for training melee
By Steve on Mar 15, 2007 | In Melee, Slayer | Send feedback »
This is really just a way to highlight the benefit of using the Black Mask when training meele on Runescape. its just a topic created to fit in the melee combat training category.
Slayer is a good skill to train in fact most of my money has come from there so it makes sense to train slayer when you are training combat, I take a slayer task and the monster I get decides what style of attack I will use, without Kurasks and Turoth my range would be embarrassingly low its only 90 at the moment but I am training strengh for now.
The Black Mask spells are pointless so you can forget about them and concentrate on the other benefits, you hit better with the Black Mask you hit harder and more often, for example when attacking Abyssal Demons I can hit 29 with a D scimmy at current level 97 strength this is fully potted and for a small while after, when I wear the Black Mask I can hit 35 with the scimmy.
This is a lot of difference and you can imagine how much quicker slayer tasks are completed and the extra xp for killing the monsters and getting on to new ones, you get combat xp, hp xp and slayer xp all in one go and extra fast.
I have always been one for making the most of my training times and this combination works well for me.
The Black Mask only benefits when training slayer
The Black Mask For Slayer Tasks
By Steve on Mar 7, 2007 | In Slayer, Slayer Monsters, The News as it happens | Send feedback »
A few weeks ago I went to kill Cave Horrors, not for slayer I rarely get them for slayer tasks but because I wanted to try a black mask, I knew very little about them and I wanted to try it and see how well it worked.
After about an hour I got a Mask, Black Mask (10) and I used it, after a slayer task I noticed it was down to Black Mask (3), I was a bit concerned that all this work to get the mask and it would be useless in a few slayer assignments.
I carried on and noticed it had just become a Black Mask, I did a search on the internet and could not find any information about it anywhere, I thought its carp and got my mate to sell it, he got 400k which I thought was good for an inert mask (The description on the examine option).
Having done another search I found the Runescape Knowledge base and it has a mention of the Mask Properties.
Apparently the 1 to 10 is a secondary spell to the main use of the mask, the mask itself in any state gives a 15 bonus to attack and strength if wearing it for your slayer assignment, the 1 to 10 options reduce your opponents defence by 3 to 10 when fighting for slayer or non slayer monsters.
So the secondary part is pretty pointless reduce the defence level on 10 monsters randomly selected, its not going to make any great deal of difference.
After my new found knowledge I went back to get another, the cave horror place is a place that is heaven for rangers, there are so many places to range there and many monsters spread about and the best defence is mage defence so dragon hide is ideal.
I am training strength so I took Guthans to prolong my stay with dragon scimmy and zammy book, taking Guthans was a mistake as I said earlier they are mage based attack and the mage resistance on Guthans is minimal I was constantly taking damage and healing, very little time to use the scimmy.
I spend the whole day there about 3 hours on and off trying to get the mask and gave up, I went off to do the clue I had got, got full rune out of that (Minus shield) so not too bad a break.
Yesterday I did the new Quest, I enjoyed the quest but got a carpy anchor as a reward, its worth the 50k to get it repaired just to have the walk when carrying it but I was hitting 18 fighting with it.
Anyway after the quest I went back to Cave Horrors and after 3 or 4 hours I got the Mask, I was out of there like a shot and off to my slayer task Suqah.
I normally range Suqah because its so easy but I am training strength so meleed them, god I love that mask, my normal max with my dragon scimmy is about 27 with 96 strength, with the mask I was regularly hitting 31's and the occasional 32, to me that is more than 15% but who cares its well 'ard.
I am so glad I eventually found out what the mask does, I don't like buying things that I can get myself so I was well pleased that I got one yesterday, the time was not wasted I bumped up my strength as well so its a win win situation.
Wooot look at me 5 skill level in 1 day.
By Steve on Mar 5, 2007 | In The News as it happens | 1 feedback »
I guess you are thinking that 5 skill levels in one day is easy, ye you are right but what if these skills are in their 90's, maybe not so easy.
I have 99 Attack so I'm not training that, 99 attack is great I was at kalphites attacking Kalphite soldiers there was a player with 99 strength god he was hitting hard, 37 38 and 39 on the kalphites, I was maxing on 33 but I was hitting so much more often that I was on to my next kalphite before he was about 80% of the time, I have not noticed the difference between strengh and attack before so I was well glad I got attack first.
I have been training my strength considerably for the last week or 2 and got from 91 to 95, I have been training slayer at the same time burthorping all monsters that I normally mage or range, yesterday I was about 300k from 96 strength so I was killing slayer monsters as requested and woot before I got 96 I got a HP level taking me from 97 to 98, cool 1 more level to go.

I continued and got my 96 strength.

Then I got 88 Slayer, slayer levels are so much easier to get when you have 85, I guess there are no more targets so you just train without watching it until 99 which is a while off.

This was nice I like getting levels so I used the dragon bones that I had saved and used them on my gilded altar and I got 2 Prayer levels from the dragon bones I had collected, 2 more level 76 and 77.

Yes that level 76 prayer also gave me 120 combat which is one hell of a milestone, six levels to the max combat, its not taking that long either I guess I will get there this summer.

So I got 5 high levels in 1 day and I got a combat level does that make 6. anyway I am pretty pleased with myself looking forward to my 99 strength in the not too distant future.
Quests for XP
By Steve on Mar 2, 2007 | In Quests | Send feedback »
I am often asked what quests to do for good xp in a particular skill.
The answer to that is none, there is no quest that you can do that would get you more xp than spending the time training.
Doing quests as soon as you can do them or think you can do them is a idea, completing an easy quest when you are a high level has no feeling of achievement, I have been doing quest with d hide on and crystal bow without a problem while other players are struggling with full rune, when I complete it its OK thats done a bit more xp to one of my skills, lower levels must think wicked I completed that quest and the xp may take them up a level or 2 with the rewards.
Some people don't like quests some do, many are worth doing because you get access to new useful areas, there are a lot of new quests coming out now that offer you nothing worth having but are quests for the sake of having quests.
Jagex have a difficult job bringing out weekly updates that have some use, there challenge is to make something useful that wont make a particular skill too easy that everyone can get 99 quickly, this will annoy the players who worked hard at the skill to get 99 before, and will devalue the skill.
But don't worry too much the end of regular updates and the demise of Runescape will not come until the release of Rune Dragons and The Dragon Plate Body.
Yes the Dragon Plate Body will be released but towards the end of Runescape as a growing game.

Who want to play a deadly game in Runescape for 100K
By Steve on Mar 1, 2007 | In Fun, Pass Times, Wilderness | Send feedback »
I am a level 119 combat Runescape Player 99 attack, 95 strength, 91 Defence, 94 magic and 90 range, I do not have an unlimited supply of money, about 42 million at the moment I do however have everything I need at the moment.
The wilderness is boring as there is seldom anything to win out there the odd rune scimmy etc.
I would like to make it a bit more interesting by giving you a game to play that could get you a nice profit or could get you killed and lose everything you have.
I need to make it clear that there is a very real chance that you could lose everything you take as it is in the wilderness, only take what you are prepared to gamble and quite likely to lose, there can be only one winner and its not going to be me.
I will start with 100K, the reason it is 100K is to make it not to much of a good win that high level players will come along and spoil a bit of deadly fun, but the low to mid level players will have a nice little treat.
The aim of the game, I will make or buy some bronze armour and have a full set, I will take a weapon and a shield haven't decided what yet and an inventory full of food and 100k cash and I will wander off into the wilderness, It will be free 2 play so everyone can have a go but I will go as deep as you can on f2p, hopefully I will have some followers and I will kill you.
That sounds fun doesn't it.
Ok it doesn't sound fun the fun bit is I will stay there I will not run and I will fight anyone who comes along, bearing in mind I am 119 combat and will not be easy to kill by most players, I will kill you and collect anything worth having, that is why I say do not take anything that you cant afford to lose, I will stay there until my food runs out and I die, hopefully there will be full bronze some other winnings and 100k cash.
The dangers are real even though it is my game there will be other pkers killing other players as well so you may die but not from me, YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.
Don't forget if someone kills me they may be badly injured so feel happy to pj him on his return home.
The winner is the person who gets home with the loot.
There are no rules, well the only rule I would like observed is to let me get to deep wildy before you attack.
I would like to keep it for low level players so all players under 90 combat are welcome, personally if your over 90 and you badly want 100k you need to get out more.
