Gameplay and getting going

I have completed the difficult part of the site update, I have used a different skin to allow full use of the extra features available, I may change later or I may just adapt this one a bit not sure yet.

I will be fine tuning over the next few weeks to make it as easy to read and navigate as possible and I would appreciate any comments requests or anything that would make the site nicer for you.

Please report any bugs or broken links and we can get this site back to its former glory as soon as possible.

You may be aware of my new business venture, you may not be aware that this new business includes web hosting, we have set our standards at the quality range of the hosting industry and promoting only low populated high specification and guaranteed uptime servers.

We have recently purchased a hosting package that we are able to sell very and I repeat very cheaply, the reason we are selling the hosting on this package so cheap is because it is untested by us, we have sites set up on this server that appear OK but we have not tested it over a long time frame to be confident of its performance.

The specifications on this package are effectively limitless, we only add a limit to have some way of monitoring its performance, should you reach 85% of its resources we will automatically increase them for you to avoid any loss of uptime.

As I have said we are unfamiliar with this new server so ensure you have a backup, we can then install your new package on our existing server should problems arise.

Most of you would never consider getting a web hosting package, the reason I have listed it here is because this package is ideal for the blog scene, there is high quality blog software ready and easy to install FREE OF CHARGE, we use b2evolution which is feature rich and very customisable but there are less powerful ones that can also be installed including Wordpress, every Runescape player has something worth saying to help others from the level 3 to the mighty 138 (If any exist to date).

This is ideal for your first steps on the Information Superhighway (haven't heard it called that for a while), it can also be useful for a backlink for search engine ranking or a landing page for existing fan sites.

There are many FREE easy installable scripts for building your website, content management packages for clan sites and many many more that you can utilise how you see fit, most are designed for people with little programming skills such as myself.

Ok the price is £5.95, you may think that that is not cheap but the going rate for a web hosting package, well think again this is the yearly price not the monthly price for a potentially limitless hosting package.

Payment methods are Praypal preferred, if you pay by PrayPal (yes the extra "r" is intentional) we will give you a full refund if you are not totally satisfied for the next 30 days, if you pay by Credit Card we can only give you a refund for 7 days after purchase.

We do charge a one off £1 setup fee that is not refundable.

Please add a link to our link exchange with a link back from your new site, it takes you to a charge screen at PrayPal for standard links with reciprocal when you get there just exit, we do not currently charge for standard links, we will evaluate the site and list if appropriate.

We do not supply a web domain name, we can register it for you and point it to our server but it is cheaper for you to register it yourself, we use the following company to register our domains.

We will be performing a system update of the Runescapeblog blog software on our server, this will be carried out over the next few days, we anticipate that the site will only be affected for a short time, We estimate it will be down for 15 to 30 minutes at the most.

We carried out the update on one of our other sites and went through smoothly and we anticipate no problems when we perform the upgrade on the Runescapeblog or Runeblog server.

The required trademark recognition text will be missing from the bottom of our site for a short time, for the sake of legalities.

I have received a few enquiries as to the reason why some links are not allowed or comments are not published.

First of all we often look at this site but we do not constantly monitor it, there are times when I do not get chance to look at it due to work commitment or I just want a break, do not worry provided your comment does not breach any rules it will be published eventually.

We generally approve all links from most blog/site owners that are related to Runescape, the only exception being if the links are links to cheat sites or sites that promote cheating including gold selling sites, we will also not allow links to sites that have a popup or other intrusive method of advertising, I do not want to delete unauthorised popup browsers and I will not subject my visitors to these annoying sites.

If anyone visits a site from a link on this site that is objectionable or breaks any of ours or Runescape rules please report them as a comment here.

Likewise if your site appears to not be allowed or is subject to a referrer spam message please also leave the url and an explanation of the problem here so we can take the appropriate action.

There is a very good Runescape community building here and I want to make sure it is as fun and as light hearted as possible.

There have been a number of instances where readers have asked for my Runescape account.

To the people who ask for my account ask yourself this question, why would I abide by all the rules on Runescape, train my character hard, post tips guides and progress reports on this blog if I was going to give it away to a noob who is too lazy to train their own character?

Trading accounts is against the rules, if I gave you my account that would be breaking the rules and I would report myself for account trading.

Continual requests for my account will result in an IP ban from visiting this web site, this website is designed to help you train your character and get your xp as fun and as quickly as possible, taking someone elses account may be quick but not as much fun, DON'T DO IT.
