My Runescape Diary

Thanks to the Grand Exchange I now have enough dragon bones to reach 98 prayer, my combat stats are currently 99, strength, attack, defence, Range and 98 magic, I was 90 prayer.

The Grand Exchange is a great update, it is having a few problems finding a steady price for many items and I anticipate this problem remaining for a few months yet, this is mainly due to people who have stock piled items (myself included) putting them all on the GE at the lowest price to get rid of them, when everyone who want to sell sells their excess stock the prices will start to creep up again.

The cost for me to get 98 prayer was 60m, although I could afford it I had better things to spend my cash on, when the GE was first mentioned on the Runescape website I had a feeling the price of most things would drop over night, because of this I held back and waited for it to be introduced.

The days leading up to the GE the price of D bones was 1.7k, immediately after the GE was introduced they went up to 1.9k, I was a little disappointed and carried on as normal, I checked back later and they had dropped to 1.55k, I put in an offer of the lower price for 25k d bones (enough for 98 prayer) after about an hour there was no bones bought so I revised my bid to the asking price again requesting the 25k bones, and woot immediately bought 25k d bones. this is how cheap the bones were before the piety prayers were brought out.

I built an extra gilded alter in my house right next to the entry portal when I went for 90 prayer and already had 2k marentils ready for the incense burners so was all set to go.

I decide my previous method of tele Castle Wars grab stuff tele house offer and repeat was the quickest method so that what I did.

This is all I needs to wear when training prayer, there is little running so you can wear anything..

I travel light just needing the runes for home teleport and a tinderbox, I carry the mud staff to save an inventory space by not needing earth runes.

I set my button to one button mouse this makes clicking easier and reduces the chance of miss clicking and burying the bones.
My gilded alter is the basic alter no carpets or decorations to minimise any extra options when offering my bones.

This is my inventory when I tele to house to offer my bones.

I grab an inventory as listed above tele to house and offer my bones, I use the dueling ring on my finger to teleport to Castle Wars and repeat (not forgetting to replace the ring when it crumbles) this involves little walking and is as quick as it can get.

I have done this over a few days and have reached 94 prayer already, I keep taking breaks to give my hand a break, I know Jagex will introduce offer x when Ive got 99 prayer but I'm not waiting.

One week after the Grand Exchange brings me 4 prayer levels, 4 more to go.

I anticipate the next 4 levels will take a couple of weeks, I'm not going to do it non stop but will want 126 before Christmas.

My conclusion is that prayer is quick and easy to train it is just monotonous and very expensive.

Just out of interest I have 4k bones ordered on GE at bottom price, if they haven't been bought when Ive done these I will ask the going rate for them for 99 prayer.

The Runescape Grand exchange has been released, and woot most of my predictions have come true, not wishing to gloat but am I always right or what?

The Grand Exchange is indeed grand it only bankrupt me because I have spend 38m on dragon bones, this is enough to get me to 98 prayer and 126 combat, it took me 5 seconds to buy the 25k bones that I needed, my poor hand is going to ache, don't think ill be doing my boning in 1 go perhaps 1k a day, omg thats almost a month at that rate.

I now have just 20m left to get the extra level for 99 mage.

I got 98 magic 1.2m xp to 99 and 25k bones to offer, which comes first?

Just though I had better slip in that I got 98 Magic.

The grand exchange had a bug where I put some items on the Exchange and logged out it kept saying still logged in when I tried to log back in, I tried to recover from a locked account and changed my password, this was successful but I was still unable to log back in, I had a look on the forums and it was a common problem and was fixed with Jagex's normal efficiency.

I put my Rune boots up for sale and sold all 21 pairs in about 20 minutes for more than the pre GE price, sold some dragon boots at normal price.

The thing I like about it is my son can use it and I know he wont get ripped off on price.

I have all my lava battle staves at minimum price haven't sold any but there must be thousands for sale out there so I will wait my turn.

This had the potential to be a disaster but oh no jagex as usual have done their homework well and it is a great boost so far, lets see how it settles in.

Save yourself the time, we will never advertise real world trading for Runescape gold on this website, all spam comments are deleted before being published.

This is a fan site why would we advertise something that is damaging Runescape and affecting our gameplay, Jagex are trying to find ways to counteract the damage you are doing regularly, I am 100% behind them in this struggle.

I am aware that it is not your fault that Runescape is changing, it is the fault of the sad muppets who buy it, every million they buy is a nail in the coffin of Runescape, people are effectively paying to bury the game they pay to play, if you want to cheat at a game play monopoly at least you only affect a few playing that.

Trust a controversial update to come out just after I wrote a guide about it.

I haven't tried the tournament yet so I cant comment on that but the decision to limit staking to 3k per 15 minutes has disturbed me greatly.

Jagex have made a lot of big updates recently and these have caused uproar in the RS community, most complaints totally unfounded and settling down after the initial panic.

If you visit the Runescape forum you will see in excess of 490 pages in the official rants section, (490 at time of writing), the majority of these complaining and threatening to quit Runescape.

Jagex you have up big time.

Before this update I never saw the problem with staking, Vaskor I am 100% with you now, the uproar caused because players can no longer gamble away their money highlights the problem there is with the staking option, a 3k limit is carp it should be totally removed, there is no room for gambling in a game if it causes this much uproar when it is removed.

Jagex you have failed the first time since I have been playing, the gambling option should never have been an option from day 1, I am so glad you have made this update and I do hope you have the courage to stick with it, If you lose membership over this then it is a small price to pay for their release from an awful habit that may follow them to adulthood and ruin many adult lives.

I hope for the sake of the members affected by this that they seek counciling because Gambling is a serious problem.

If you read this blog regularly you will realise that Google stitched me up big time with their dodgy Sadsense swindle.

I have asked them to reinstate my account because of the fact that there is no way I could have generated invalid click activity.

I thought they had their UK offices in the Republic of Ireland because of the data protection act making their policy of we are god, you must obey, no questions asked, our decision is final, no evidence given, legal.

As it happens the Data protection act is just as much active in the Republic of Ireland as the rest of Europe.

Because of this I have asked to be reinstated or show me the evidence and all information held about me in electronic and paper form as required by the data Protection act.

I await their response, Im sure they have a way of covering their backs but its got to be worth a try.
