How to do a successful Barrows run
Barrows is a Runescape mini game for medium to high level players that involves you going around waking up dead people then killing them with the hope of getting their armour.
The most important item to take when doing a Barrows run is your SPADE, do not under any circumstances forget it.
The way I do it now is the same way I did it when I was level 80 combat, you may just need to have a bit more food and some more prayer pots.
Wear mage gear, anything you like, I wear white/gold mystic but used to wear monks robes when I was lower level.
Your inventory should include, SPADE, 4 prayer pots, 8 sharks (I used to take swordies before I could catch sharks), Best bow you can use and best arrows you can use. about 20 druid pouches and runes you need for your best magic spell (Magic dart is cheap and effective and you often get the runes that you use for it in the chest). take a magic wrench if you have it. and don't forget a quick teleport.

It is easiest to go to Canafis and tool up, make your way through Mort Myre Marsh, druid pouches will stop you losing food from the ghasts.
When you get to the barrows you will see 6 burial mounds, I start at the north west mound first and go anti-clockwise for reasons I will explain as I go around.
You will get to a tomb that a brother does not jump up in, just carry on to the next brother and continue, I will explain what happens in this situation later.
Stand in the middle of the mound make sure you have full prayer points and your staff is set to mage and dig, you will fall into Veracs tomb, you are safe now but your prayer will start to drain at regular intervals, put on protect from melee and click his coffin Verac will jump up and start attacking you, he can hit through prayer and armour so you may need to eat, because it is the first one you attack you can concentrate on food as your prayer should last until the end of the fight (It doesn't do any harm to check at intervals if your prayer level is low).

Hopefully now Verac is dead and you are not, go south to the next burial mound this is where Torag resides, again check that you have enough prayer and your staff is set for mage and dig, you will drop into his tomb put on protect from melee and click his coffin, he will jump up and attack, he is easy to kill he doesn't hit you if you have prayer on, just watch your prayer level, you will notice a purple face appear, when this happens your prayer drains by about 10, watch this carefully you can survive a Torag non prayer attack but it wastes food.

Now Torag is dead go a small way east this is the furthest south mound, this mound is Karils and is in my eyes the worst to get in the tunnels, I always hope that he is here because he is easy to kill when you are prepared, Karil drains your agility level, he is the sole reason I kill myself when I have finished my barrows runs, Check your prayer and staff is set for mage and dig in the centre of his mound, put on protect from range, he is easy to kill with mage, if you lose prayer when fighting him he hits hard, fast and often so check your prayer regularly.

Now Karil is dead go a little way east, this is where Guthan lives, well if a dead guy can live that is, check your prayer level and staff for mage attack, and dig, put on protect from melee and click his coffin, he will jump out and attack, he is not difficult to kill but he can heal from you, It doesn't damage you but when you see a purple flame type thing around you it heals some of his health, because of this it may take some time, he also gets tired of fighting you and goes off vowing to finish it later (What a noob).

Now go north this is where the infamous Dharoks is, DO NOT let prayer run out on this guy he can hit 68 and can one hit kill some players, make sure you have full prayer and staff mage enabled and dig, put on protect melee and click his coffin, he is not difficult to kill but as I said if you lose prayer say hi to the whight knights for me.

Now Dharok is dead you just have Ahrim left hardly a challenge but lower levels may need to take super restore pots instead of prayer, he will reduce your combat levels, this can result in you not being able to do the spell you have been using, this guy is easiest to kill using range so get your bow ready on rapid and dig, put protect mage on and click his coffin and range away, watch your stats and prayer and drink super restore if required.

Now that is all the brothers dead except for one, he will be the one that you did not find in the tomb.
If this is your first run you may want to take some armour there are lots of nasties in there that attack melee, if its your first run use a quiet world as there will be less monsters.
Go to the tomb with the tunnel in and drop into the tunnel, you will be in a room with 3 or 4 doors and a ladder, only 1 door will open, put on protect melee but don't use a prayer pot you are just using the rest of your prayer points as a little protection before they run out.
Your aim is to find the door to the center chamber, If you enter the first door and there is another door then a chamber you should look for the next door along, if there is a door on the right and not on the left then the right door leads to the centre chamber it does not open then try the next door on the right, (If the wall with no door is on the right then the centre is through the door on the left, I will use my example assuming the door is on the right but you should substitute for the left if that is the situation), So if the door is on the right just keep clicking the next door on the right, this will take you around the square of the centre chamber and sooner or later you will come to a lock with a simple puzzle to decode.
If your first door leads to a tunnel follow the tunnel all the way and click the door to double back on yourself and check to see if the door opposite the wall opens, if not you will need to go back and follow the procedure listed above, You can actually check this as you are going along the tunnel, as you go past the chamber hold your mouse over the door and see if it says open or examine, if it says open you can go through the doors and open it, if it says examine you can go through the door opposite the tunnel you came out of..
It is easier than I make it sound, it is very difficult to explain, you are basically continually clicking the next door on the left or right depending on which chamber you are dropped in.
Now while you are doing this you are being attacked my monsters, you are also likely to come across the brother that you did not kill in his tomb, when this happens you can either run on to the next door or go back through the door you cane through to drink prayer pot the go back and kill him there and then, you need to kill him its up to you when you do it.
BEWARE there is a bug that is know to Jagex, when you go back through the door to pot it is quite likely that another of the same brother will appear on that side of the door as well, and then when you go back there may well be another so you can have 3 or more of the same brother attacking you, you need to kill the one with the yellow arrow on his head.

If you choose to run and not to fight he will appear when you open the center chest, this is a lot easier as you can get the correct prayer ready before opening it.
When you come to a door with a puzzle on it you have found the centre chamber, getting this question correct will unlock the door, you can then enter, there is a chest in the centre, if you killed the last brother in the tunnel you can open this and be safe, if you did not kill him in the tunnel he will jump out as soon as you open it, you should kill him and check the chest for treasure, make sure you have room in your inventory for your winnings, as soon as you check it the room will shake and bits of debris fall on your head, this is the time to get out of there with a quick tele.
