Pest control is a great way of getting experience.

Unfortunately it is very difficult to find a good world, because it is difficult to win with a lot of low level players the good world are kept secret from low level players and the information is often passed to each other by a trade screen and they put up the world in gp.

For example someone will say "trade me for a 90+ or 100+ world" when you trade if you are a high enough player they put up the world in gp, for example 69gp means world 69, this is a little unfair but if you have a full world of level 60 or less players unless you play as a team and have a strategy you will not win.

The beauty of pest control is that you can not get killed, if you die in the game you get sent back to the landing craft that you arrived on, you just need to go back to where you were fighting, because of this you can take your best amour and fight to the death.

I take black dragon hide, my whip and a rune defender and wear rune boots and the hat I feel like wearing at the time. this is because at 114 I take little damage from monsters and it is light to save run energy, it also saves repair bill for my barrows outfits.

However you are playing it is a good idea to turn on "Ultimate Strength" and "Incredible reflexes" prayer to help your attack, this can make the difference between getting a commendation point or not, prayer is renewed for every game so you should be able to use it constantly.

For low level players it is best to protect the Void Knight, kill monsters that attack him and keep him from as much damage as you can, you need to inflict 50 damage on the monsters to get a Void Knight Commendation Point If you have low strength or attack you are unlikely to get that amount attacking the portal.

Higher level players can attack the portals quite successfully but if you are in a fast moving world you might not inflict enough damage to get your commendation point. run to the portal, if you have high defence stand in from of the portal towards the outside of the portal.

If you have high defence stand in front slightly to the side.

That is me with the robin hood hat, if you stand there you can attack the spinners that appear, the spinners appear in the middle and they will repair the portal, you do not need to kill them just attack them to get their attention, they will then start to attack you and you can continue to attack the portal, if you have adequate defence they will not hurt you.

If you are a higher level but have low defence stand behind the portal and you are not likely to be attacked.

If you are attacking the portal you will need to turn off auto retaliate, if you are being attacked by a monster other than melee you will run back to attack that monster rather than running on to your next portal.
