The Abyssal Demon is probably one of the most important monsters on Runescape, to be able to kill these you need to have 85 slayer.

Abyssal Demons at Canafis Slayer Tower, require slayer level 85 to kill.

They are located on the top floor of the Slayer Tower just North West of Canafis, you need to pass one or two high level aggressive monsters to get too them. unless you have high agility you need to pass Aberrant specters, They will hit your stats considerably unless you wear a nose peg, protect from magic prayer will also help but a nose peg is still required.

After you get past the Aberrants you need to pass the Gargoyles, these attack melee but you can run past safely, the rest of the monsters in the slayer tower are non aggressive.

They can also be found in the Abyssal Space that can be reached using the Fairy Rings that can be used after starting Fairy Tale Part 2, this is the easiest place to fight them, the tower gets very busy.

Abyssal Demons can teleport to the square next to you or they can teleport you to the square next to them, this gives the appearance that you are dancing with them, this has no effect apart from looking funny and does not stop any chance of retreating should the need arise.

They are not difficult to kill once you have reached 85 slayer and they do not hit hard.

The Abyssal Demons drop whips which is the best overall melee style weapon on Runescape.

People often ask me how often do Abyssal Demons drop whips, the answer is always going to be they are random, however they do seem to drop at a similar ratio to metal boots, so they drop as often as mith boots from jellies and rune boots from Nechryael, If I fight Abyssal Demons in the Abyssal space I expect to get a whip or 2 in 2 loads of sharks, I have had 2 whips and a shield left half in one load of sharks in 1 trip, whips are not uncommon.
